stifled tears of laughter
stood stolid in her gems,
amethysts, old; chestnut
curls cascaded on to
tattoo punctured arm, he
sold her crystal myths.

This comes late. Very, very striking metaphors.

The last line left me wondering though. I have two interpretations for it depending on the way I read it. Did he sell crystal myths that belonged to her? Did he sell crystal myths to her?

Oh ur right Noor! I can be read in two different ways, I didn’t catch that first. Waisay I think the first interpretation works better (for me). With tattoo punctured arms, it just gives the image of someone who would sell away her dreams. But I can’t figure why the tears are of laughter. The rest of the poem is pretty sad :S
