Lamenting for the Charred Soul

12. Mar, 2007

Lost in the depths of the cave of sin,
Man has sold his soul to temptation.

With his pupils dilated
And mind intoxicated,

With his being wrapped
In rainbow-colored illusions,
He shatters the crystal prism of morality.

Even the Earth shudders in her rage,
Seeing the death of purity
And she bleeds not thick crimson blood,
But hot molten lava,
A fire that is her blood and her tears
Engulfs all in its fury
Breaking a mournful dawn.
Man’s sinning rampage has birthed
Piles of lifeless bodies,
All burnt and bruised.
In the crowd of dead,
A cry emerges
From a helpless broken spirit
And reaches the mighty skies,
Announcing night.
It makes them weep
For the sorrow enveloping life
And they thunder in anguish
As they tear apart
With a piercing blue flame.
The earth rages
And the skies thunder,
But alas!
Lost in the depths of the cave of sin,
Man has sold his soul to temptation.

Very dark… Very sad… Very … black … Reminds me of Alice in Chains in general and Pearl Jam – Black in particular…

But where there is yin there is also yang.
